As Dr. Oz noted, your best weight loss results will come from a healthy diet and moderate exercise while taking a raspberry ketones supplement.
And so what kind of diet should you follow?
With the hundreds of different diets heavily marked online and in book stores, it’s easy to get lost. So, here is some information and a diet to follow while taking raspberry ketones to maximize your weight loss and long-term health.
As with most diets, you should add more fruits and veggies to your meals and cut down on the junk food. Depending on where you are in your daily diet, you can try a raw food type diet consisting of primarily fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and other raw items.
Junk food such as pizza, chips, cake, or pop and sugar beverages should be kept to a bare minimum.
The theory behind the raw food diet is that natural foods are much healthier to eat than cooked food. This theory is which finds that, by cooking food; many of the vitamins and other nutrients are destroyed. Enzymes which help to digest food are also destroyed once the food reaches a certain temperature. When this occurs, the human body must work even harder to digest food. This can lead to a slow, tired, and sluggish feeling after meal time. When eating healthy raw food however, this sluggish feeling disappears and participates are instead filled with energy.
In addition to increasing energy, the raw food diet has been shown to improve weight loss significantly. No matter how much food is eaten, weight loss is guaranteed to happen as long as the participants stick to eating only raw food. In fact, dieters are encouraged to eat as much food as they want in order to get the recommended amount of protein, carbs, and calories. Despite this, weight continues to drop because the diet is made up of only ‘healthy’ fats instead of processed junk food. In fact, weight loss happens so quickly a raw food diet isn’t recommended for long term use because participants can become underweight if the diet is done long enough.
Because the raw food diet is so healthy, many people have seen improvement in a wide range of health problems, including depression, acne, asthma, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, arthritis, gas, bloating, fatigue and more. Because many patients have seen such an improvement, doctors are now beginning to recommend a raw food diet to ease the symptoms of many of these health problems that would otherwise be incurable.
The raw food diet does come with some side effects, with the most common being a brief detoxing period if dieters choose to start the raw food diet at once rather than easing into it. During the detox, the human body begins to get rid of all toxins that were previously stored in the body. This can lead to the participant feeling weak, sick, tired, and foggy. This period usually lasts a few days to two weeks depending on how healthy the participant was eating beforehand.
Once the detox period is over, dieters will begin feeling more healthy and alert almost immediately. Many participates also report feeling more awake in the morning and requiring less sleep. Increased physical strength, immune system strength, memory, and fertility have also been reported after being on the raw food diet for as little as once month.
In the quest for the healthiest lifestyle, many people are looking back to what our ancestors ate. The diet of these Paleolithic people has been well researched and documented. Those now following this ancestral diet have found it to be a great benefit to modern man.
If you don’t want to go on a completely raw food diet, the Paleo Diet offers a good alternative:
The Paleo diet consists of those foods that would have been readily available before the time of modern agriculture. Foods that can be foraged, such as vegetables, herbs, fruits, and nuts, were gathered and consumed during their individual growing season. Fresh meats were hunted and fish were caught. Notably absent from their diet were the grains, sugars and dairy products that are the mainstay of the standard American diet.
Lean Meats and Seafood
Grass-fed meats and free-range poultry are the best sources of lean protein to be found. A typical serving size is between four to eight ounces. Grass-fed animals have a different structure of fat, a healthier balance of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Wild caught seafood is also on the Paleo menu. Lean meats provide protein to aid the development of strong muscles and improve the overall function of the immune system.
Vegetables
Vegetables are extremely diverse in nature. They provide the very best in nutrition. Vegetables enhance the diet with a wide variety of vitamins and micronutrients. A colorful selection of fresh vegetables as a part of each meal will substantially decrease the risk of many diseases.
Fruits
Fruits contain an abundance of sugars which, eaten in excess, leads to disease and weight problems. Eating fruit only when in season will help maintain the balance needed for a healthy diet. Green Apples and berries are highly recommended.
Healthy Fats
Healthy, natural fats provide fuel for the body. Olive oil, coconut oil, avocados and raw tree nut are all acceptable sources for healthy fats. A moderate intake of these mono-saturated fats has been shown to reduce the decline of cognitive failure and lessen the risk of heart disease and cancer.
Water
You must drink at least (8-10) 8 ounce glasses of water daily to wash away fat processed by your system. It will also improve your stomach’s dietary function.
What to Eliminate
Eliminating grains, sugar and dairy foods may seem extreme, but many diseases are linked to the consumption of these foods. Diabetes, celiac disease and obesity are just a few. Humans properly digest very few grains and because of this, even whole grains are eliminated in a Paleo diet.
Sugars are not only empty calories, but also they are not recognized by the human body as food. Natural sugars found in fruits and vegetables are metabolized in a much difference way than refine sugar. This difference in the metabolic process is the cause of many diseases, such as diabetes.
Dairy products did not exist in the diet before modern agriculture. Milk, provided by the mother, is designed for infants in the first year of life. Milk and dairy by-products, such as butter and cheese, are not processed by the human digestive tract efficiently. This is why the rate of lactose intolerance continues to climb year after year.
Another addition to this list is all types of processed and carbonated beverages including alcohol as they are loaded with sugar and ingredients not healthy at any level.
